Brunswick County
Brunswick County was created by legislative act in 1720 from Prince George County, but not formed until 1732 when it received more land from the counties of Surry and Isle of Wight. The county was named after the former Duchy of Brunswick / Luneburg in Germany, a title carried by Britain's Duke of Brunswick / Lunenburg and one of the possessions of King George I. Brunswick consists of 579 square miles and the county seat is located in Lawrenceville.- Cemeteries
